08 May 1941 - Crew Guest with P4946 - ZA-P took off from RAF Leeming at 22:51 hrs
Signalled operation completed at 01:59 hrs, while heading home towards Leeming it was hit
by night fighter pilot Oberfeldwebel Paul Gildner from the 4./NJG 1 in his Bf 110 based at Fliegerhorst Leeuwarden
Whitley Mk.V - P4946 - ZA-P from No. 10 RAF Squadron ditched 02:35
??? in the IJsselmeer near the former Isle of Urk ??? - this is very doubtful - info PATS
Claim of Ofw. Gilder was given E of Enkhuizen - page 20 - Luftwaffe Night Fighter Combat Claims 1939 - 1945 - Foreman/Matthews/Parry

In a 2nd review it seems that Ofw. Gilder is not connected to P4946 at all,
but Lt. Rolf Bokemeyer - Whitley - sea 10 km W. Wesselbüren (1 C): 1.000 m. 02:35 is more likely
All five survived and were taken POW
Based on the POW M.I.9 records it tends to the North Sea near the Isle of Heligoland - info PATS - 12 Aug 2019
Location is 100% Heligoland Bicht and not in the IJsselmeer - info PATS - 17 Aug 2019
